Workshops

Kalindi Yoga's workshops aim to give students an insight into the postures and all their individual elements. The workshops will vary in their style. In some, we will focus on one posture, building up our strength and flexibility throughout to end in that final posture. Some workshops will emphasise the internal feelings and emotions we experience when practising. Some will be designed to allow students to use the postures to help them gain confidence, self-esteem or combat anxiety, for example.

Details of all the workshops are below.

Sunday 25th June 2017 4-6pm £20

Learn how to relax deeply with this extended relaxation. Yoga Nidra is known as the 'Yogi's sleep'. We will practice Yin Yoga holding postures for 3-5 minutes before settling down for a very deep relaxation. Although you will be relaxing, your savasana is still an active posture where you stay mindful of your breath and body.

Sunday 30th July 2017 4-6pm £20

Learn how to get into forearm balance with this energetic, strength building workshop. I'll show you warm ups and preps to achieve this satisfying posture. You can do anything you set your mind to.

Sunday 27th August 2017 4-6pm £20

In this confidence workshop, we'll be working on asanas that we all find naturally quite challenging. It's a workshop designed for everyone, taking everyone to their own highest ability. When we challenge the body, it presents us with challenges in the mind. If we can show ourselves physically that we can do something, we can also show ourselves from deep within that we are enough and we can achieve what we thought was impossible.
